Swapnil Bhartiya of TFiR Insights hosted Michelle McLean, VP of Marketing at Salt Security, to discuss the findings of the 3rd edition of the State of API Security Report.
According to empirical data from the Salt Security SaaS cloud platform, overall API call volume increased by 321%. At the same time, malicious API traffic increased by 681%, outpacing the growth of overall traffic and 95% of companies surveyed in the latest report said they experienced an API security incident in the past 12 months.
Salt Labs was created in 2021 to help the industry with tackling the increase in API threats. The research division of Salt Security focuses on not only finding API vulnerabilities but also increasing awareness about API security and offer solutions to help mitigate such risks.
