W Hotel Hoboken, 225 River St, Hoboken, NJ
APIs are a vital part of modern applications and organizations, but they need protection from potential misuse. To keep them safe, it's important to identify them, set up proper controls, and use effective safeguards against malicious attacks.
Register here to join Salt Security at the W Hoboken for an API Defense Workshop. In this hands-on workshop, a certified technical engineer from Salt will guide you through common security challenges for organizations that prioritize APIs - learning about issues like API sprawl, weak API posture governance, and common API attacks such as Broken Level Object Authorization (BOLA).
You will gain practical experience discovering APIs, creating custom rules for protection, and simulating attacks on vulnerable APIs. You'll also explore how to integrate the Salt tool for blocking in the Web Application Firewall (WAF) and sending alerts to Slack.
Lunch will be served at noon. Attendees should bring a laptop, pen, a working Postman Installation, and also have access to Zoom. Once registered, we will share information on accessing Postman.
